Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how TingleLoop (“we”, “us”, or “the app”) handles information when you use our iOS application. Your privacy matters to us, and we’ve designed TingleLoop to collect as little data as possible.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

TingleLoop does not require an account. We do not collect:

Your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal identifiers
Your location
Your contacts, photos, calendar, or other device data
Any health, financial, or biometric information

2. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The following information is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to us:

YouTube video links you paste into the app
Audio clips (“tingles”) you extract and save
Custom names you give your clips
Playlists (“loops”) you build and arrange
App preferences (e.g., whether you have completed onboarding)

This data lives entirely in the app's local storage. If you delete the app, this data is permanently removed.

3. YouTube Content

When you paste a YouTube URL, the app fetches publicly available video information (title, thumbnail) and the audio stream from YouTube in order to let you edit it. Your use of YouTube content is subject to YouTube's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We do not send your YouTube activity to any server we control.

4. Subscriptions and Purchases

TingleLoop uses Superwall to display paywalls and Apple's App Store / StoreKit to process in-app purchases and subscriptions.

Apple handles all payment processing. We never see or store your payment details. See Apple's Privacy Policy at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.
Superwall receives anonymous events (such as paywall views, purchase events, and a randomly generated device identifier) to display the correct paywall and verify subscription status. Superwall does not receive personal information from us. See Superwall's Privacy Policy at https://superwall.com/privacy.

5. Analytics and Tracking

TingleLoop does not use third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or cross-app tracking. We do not use the App Tracking Transparency framework because we do not track you across other apps or websites.

6. Diagnostics

If you opt in through iOS Settings, Apple may share anonymized crash and performance data with us via Apple's standard diagnostic reporting. This data does not identify you personally.

7. Children's Privacy

TingleLoop is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Because all of your content is stored locally on your device, you can delete it at any time by:

Removing individual clips or loops inside the app, or
Deleting the TingleLoop app from your device

Subscription history is retained by Apple under your Apple ID and can be managed in Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions.

9. Security

Local data is protected by iOS's standard app sandbox and device-level encryption (when your device passcode is enabled). Network requests to YouTube and Superwall use HTTPS.

10. Your Rights

Since we do not collect personal data, there is no personal information for us to access, correct, or delete. For requests related to Superwall or Apple, please contact those companies directly using the links above.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, surfaced in the app.
