At Tingle Loop, your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Tingle Loop app (“App”), how we use it, who we share it with, and what choices you have. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information when you use Tingle Loop:

a) Information You Provide Directly

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password.
Profile preferences: Any display name, avatar, or preferences you set within the App.
User-submitted content: Any custom audio content, trigger loops, or soundscapes you upload or share through the App.
Communications: If you contact our support team, we retain the content of that correspondence.

b) Information Collected Automatically

Usage data: Information about how you interact with the App, including which triggers or loops you play, session duration, loop frequency settings, and features you use.
Device information: Your device type, operating system, app version, and unique device identifiers.
Log data: IP address, access times, pages or screens viewed, and crash reports.
Listening preferences: Your saved trigger preferences, favorite loops, and playback history within the App.

c) Information from Third-Party Services

YouTube data: When you use the embedded YouTube player within the App, YouTube may collect data about your viewing activity in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy). Tingle Loop does not receive or store data about the specific YouTube videos you watch.
Authentication providers: If you sign in using a third-party provider (such as Google or Apple), we may receive basic profile information such as your name and email address from that provider.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Create and manage your account and provide access to App features
Personalize your experience, including saving your trigger preferences and loop history
Improve and develop the App, including analyzing usage patterns to enhance features
Respond to your support requests and communications
Send you important notices, such as updates to these policies or changes to the App
Monitor for and prevent fraudulent, unauthorized, or harmful activity
Comply with applicable legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data to serve you third-party advertisements within the App.

3. YouTube and Third-Party Video Content

Tingle Loop uses the YouTube IFrame API to enable playback of ASMR videos directly within the App. Important things to know:

Tingle Loop does not host, store, or transmit YouTube video content. All videos are streamed directly from YouTube’s servers.
When you interact with the YouTube player in the App, YouTube’s own data collection practices apply. This may include cookies, viewing history, and other data collected by Google.
We encourage you to review Google’s Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy to understand how YouTube handles your data.
Tingle Loop’s use of the YouTube API is subject to the YouTube API Services Terms of Service.
We do not have access to your personal YouTube account information, watch history outside the App, or any data stored in your Google account.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

Service providers: We work with trusted third-party vendors (such as cloud hosting, analytics, and customer support tools) who process data on our behalf and are contractually required to protect it.
Community features: If you choose to share a custom trigger loop or soundscape publicly within the App, that content will be visible to other users.
Legal compliance: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Tingle Loop, our users, or others.
Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the App’s services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes. Aggregated, non-identifiable usage data may be retained indefinitely to improve the App.

6. Your Privacy Choices

You have the following rights and choices regarding your personal information:

Access and correction: You can view and update your account information at any time within the App’s settings.
Delete your account: You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us at support@tingleloop.app.
Opt out of non-essential communications: You may unsubscribe from promotional emails using the link in any such email. We will still send you essential service-related notices.
Data portability: Upon request, we can provide you with a copy of the personal data we hold about you in a machine-readable format.
Withdraw consent: Where we process your data based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting prior processing.

Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws such as the GDPR (for users in the European Economic Area) or the CCPA (for California residents). Please contact us to exercise any of these rights.

7. Children’s Privacy

Tingle Loop is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will promptly delete it. 8. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. These measures include encrypted data transmission, secure storage practices, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Third-Party Links and Services

The App may contain links to third-party websites or services, including YouTube. This Privacy Policy applies only to Tingle Loop. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party platforms, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies before interacting with them.

10. International Users

Tingle Loop is operated from the United States. If you are accessing the App from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using the App, you consent to this transfer. We take steps to ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or via email. The “Effective Date” at the top of this policy reflects when the latest version took effect. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
